3k – Day 15 (kinda)

Sorry i havent updated in a few days. I had my Wine Theory exam and was very focused on that. Tried to run on Monday, but was just a wintery mess, so just came back home after a block or so. My exam was yesterday, so no running, just drinking and writing.

Came back very strong today, 13 minutes 27 seconds!

The cold weather certainly helped. I love running in the cold, so much easier on my body.
Excited to get my gym membership rolling at work, they have really nice facilities.

Hopefully a quiet night in tonight. Going to watch a bit more of the Leafs game, and play a bit more of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit.

3k – Day 13/14 – Back strong!

Took my break yesterday, as i had a LOT of Wine Theory to work though, and wanted to focus on that. I stretched for about 15 minutes yesterday, but cramped up a bit, so decided to just take it easy.

Woke up early this morning because of my kitty Raggamuffin.
Made a quick breakfast and stretched up a bit.
Ran the best time ive ever done today at 13 minutes 38 seconds!

It was slightly snowing the whole time, got the odd snowflake in my eyelashes. But was a wonderful, quiet morning for a run.

Now going to settle in with some more Wine Theory, and a quiet day in before the week starts!
Hard, busy week ahead with my wine exam!

3k – Day 12 – Best time yet!

Whoa!! 13 minutes 52 seconds!

Was a very difficult run mentally, even though it is the same run i have done 12 times. Had a tough day mentally at work, and had to make a difficult personal decision that weighed heavily. I was very excited to have my day done, and to get outside for a run in the cold air. Going to have a quiet night in, watch

Gonna be a long weekend, have studying for my Wine Theory II exam, and was just given a hefty load of work, so may plug away on that when im tired of relearning Italian Wine Law, or German Wine terms.

3k – Day 11 – Slower, but better!

Hi!

14 minutes 16 seconds today!
Not a bad time at all. Been really working to control my pace and keep myself going at the same speed. Felt great when i finished, didnt feel like i had to over do it today. So despite the bit of an increase on my time from yesterday, I feel so much better when the run is over.

Thanks to my manager at work, i found a great website to start tracking my running.
Dailymile.com

Check it out! :)

I did it!

13 minutes 58 seconds!!

Beautiful evening for a run too. The crisp air is wonderful to run in, i really look forward to running in the evenings now. After a long day of sitting in front of a computer, its great to get my legs moving, and heart racing. Might be kind of a bitch when the snow starts to fly, but trying to get as much in as i can!

Beat my goal for the week! Today has been an awesome day, feeling a lot of pride with the full announcement of the Hard Dance Awards and my great running time.

Working from home tomorrow, and dinner plans in the evening.
Going to spend my evening tonight cleaning up around the house a bit (sticking to my cleaning routine!) and study for my wine exam coming up next week. I think I will review France tonight, i feel pretty confident about my French wine theory, so will be a good review.

Bye for now! :)

Great run today, the weather was cool, with a slight bit of rain coming down.
It wasnt raining in Brampton when i left work, so i knew i had a good chance of making it home and doing my run before the rain starts.

14 minutes 20 seconds

Not too shabby! :)
Slight increase of 9 seconds from yesterday, but the time is nothing to snuff at thats for sure! I would love to get under 14 minutes by the end of the week, so maybe a bit more stretching beforehand, and working my sprints a bit better.

But i feel great afterwards, was able to make it half way before my breathing started to labour, which is awesome. At the start of this challenge, i couldnt make it to the end of my street to Bloor without really feeling it.

Thanks for reading though, and check back tomorrow for a HUUUUGE DJ announcement, and more running! Wooooo! :D
